Hope Caldwell joined the office of Research Integrity and Assurance in July 2022 to oversee and enhance the Conflict of Interest program for RIA and the University. Previously, since 2015 she managed the Institutional Compliance Program as Associate Director, Compliance in the University’s Office of Audit and Compliance. Prior to joining Princeton, she spent her career in legal and compliance/ethics roles, serving the City of Philadelphia as the Chief Integrity Officer, Chief Deputy Integrity Officer, and Deputy City Solicitor. Hope earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Penn State University. She is a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA), and the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA). Originally from Pittsburgh, she is a die-hard Steelers fan and ensures her twin sons and husband, Ron continue to support Pennsylvania sports teams while adding the Princeton Tigers to their weekend fandom.
